Item: Life Orb
Ability: Flash Fire
Nature: Timid (+Spe, -Atk)
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
IVs: 0 Atk
Moveset:
- Sunny Day
- Flame Charge
- Fire Blast
- Solar Beam / Shadow Ball
In single battles, Chandelure's Special Sweeper role is an exquisite. It is meant to take down the opponent's team with brute special power. Life Orb boosts the power of Chandelure's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Flash Fire, Chandelure's fire attacks do 1.5x damage if hit by one fire move; fire immunity. With [Sunny Day] Chandelure can get past Politoed and Tyranitar, while providing a sun team with a strong backup sun inducer or help a weatherless team with a way to combat opposing weather.
Fire Blast is Chandelure's main weapon, hitting incredibly hard with boosts from Life Orb and sunlight.
This moveset works better against bulky Water-types than most Chandelure sets due to a strong SolarBeam and weaker Scalds.
Shadow Ball is an option over SolarBeam to hit Latios and Latias, both of which otherwise wall this set when sun isn't in play.
Hidden Power Fighting can be used to hit Heatran and is also a reliable option for hitting Tyranitar on the switch. Although Flame Charge seems also is a nice move to be considered since it can help fix Chandelure's Speed.
Chandelure can run both SolarBeam and Shadow Ball, but should only do so if your team has reliable means of removing or exploiting the opponent's Heatran, such as Dugtrio or Terrakion.
◆ Flame Charge is a physical STAB-boosted 50-base power Fire-type move (100% chance to raise your Chandelure's speed by 1 stage).

◆ Solar Beam is a special 120-base power Grass-type move (charges turn 1. Hits turn 2. No charge in sunlight).
◆ Shadow Ball is a special STAB-boosted 80-base power Ghost-type move (20% chance to lower the target's special defense by 1 stage).
