The movesets and EVs have been specifically calibrated to deal the most amount of damage to the largest group of potentially common opponents and typing threats for the Sword/Shield generation metagame.
Drapion is an extraordinary Poison and Dark-typed Pokemon. It's not-uncommon to find yourself dealing with Drapion when battling in the 8th generation meta. This Pokemon deserves to see more play in the meta. Drapion's only type-related weakness is Ground.

Physical Sweeper Drapion (Popular/Trending)
Drapion is a spectacular Physical Sweeper for single battles. This moveset attempts to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Scope Lens/Razor Claw increases Drapion critical hit ratio by 1 stage. Choice Band will increase the damage of Drapion's physical moves by 1.5x at the cost of locking you into the first move you pick. With Battle Armor, Drapion cannot be struck by a critical hit.

◆ Cross Poison is a physical STAB-boosted 70-base power Poison-type move (high critical hit ratio. 10% chance to poison).

Physical Sweeper Drapion (Sniper)
Drapion is a pretty decent Physical Sweeper for single battles. The purpose of this moveset is to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Scope Lens/Razor Claw increases Drapion critical hit ratio by 1 stage and combined with Drapion's Sniper ability will increase the amount of damage done by those critial hits. Life Orb boosts the power of Drapion's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Sniper, if Drapion strikes with a critical hit the damage is multiplied by 1.5.
