What is a good competitive moveset for Ferroseed? These builds have been optimized for Pokemon competing in Sword/Shield Single Battles. The movesets and EVs have been specifically calibrated to deal the most amount of damage to the largest group of potentially common opponents and typing threats for the Sword/Shield generation metagame.
Ferroseed is an extraordinary Grass and Steel-typed Pokemon. Ferroseed is not a Pokemon anyone usually expects sees on the battlefield. Ferroseed's only type-related weaknesses are Fighting and Fire.

Physical Sweeper Ferroseed (Iron Barbs)
Ferroseed is a fabulous Physical Sweeper for single battles. This moveset attempts to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Ferroseed is not a Pokemon anyone usually expects sees on the battlefield but Eviolite makes it possibly stronger than it's final form. If Eviolite is held by a Pokémon that is not fully evolved, it will raises the Defense and Special Defense of that Pokemon by 50%. With Iron Barbs, pokemon making contact with Ferroseed lose 1/8 of their max hp. With a Occa Berry equipped to it, halves damage taken from a supereffective fire-type attack then the Occa Berry gets consumed.
◆ Iron Head is a physical STAB-boosted 80-base power Steel-type move (30% chance to make the target flinch).
◆ Seed Bomb is a physical STAB-boosted 80-base power Grass-type move that deals a substantial amount of damage.
◆ Bullet Seed is a physical STAB-boosted 25-base power Grass-type move (hits 2-5 times in one turn).
◆ Knock Off is a physical 65-base power Dark-type move (1.5x damage if foe holds an item; Note: This will also remove that item).
◆ Assurance is a physical 60-base power Dark-type move (power doubles if target was damaged this turn).
◆ Poison Jab is a physical 80-base power Poison-type move (30% chance to poison the target).
