What is a good competitive moveset for Weavile? These builds have been optimized for Pokemon competing in Sword/Shield Single Battles. Weavile is a spectacular Dark and Ice-typed Pokemon. It's pretty standard to find yourself dealing with Weavile when battling in the 8th generation meta. Weavile can usually be found in the OU tier (Overused). Weavile is weak to Bug, Fairy, Fighting, Fire, Rock, and Steel-typed attacks.

Weavile is an outstanding Physical Sweeper for single battles. It tries to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Focus Sash helps protect Weavile from being one-shotted and allowing it to atleast use a crucial move when brought out. Wide Lens will help improve the accuracy of Weavile's moves. With Pressure, if Weavile is the target of a foe's move that move loses one additional pp.

Weavile is a fabulous Physical Sweeper for single battles. It's meant to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Focus Sash helps protect Weavile from being one-shotted and allowing it to atleast use a crucial move when brought out. With Pressure, if Weavile is the target of a foe's move that move loses one additional pp. Poison Jab was added to provide additional threat coverage. With a Chople Berry equipped to it, halves damage taken from a supereffective fighting-type attack then the Chople Berry gets consumed.
◆ Knock Off is a physical STAB-boosted 65-base power Dark-type move (1.5x damage if foe holds an item; Note: This will also remove that item).
◆ Triple Axel is a physical STAB-boosted 20-base power Ice-type move (hits 3 times. Each hit can miss, but power rises).
◆ Icicle Crash is a physical STAB-boosted 85-base power Ice-type move (30% chance to make the target flinch).
◆ Poison Jab is a physical 80-base power Poison-type move (30% chance to poison the target).
◆ Double-Edge is a physical 120-base power Normal-type move (has 33% recoil).
◆ Psycho Cut is a physical 70-base power Psychic-type move (high critical hit ratio).

Life Orb boosts the power of Weavile's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Pressure, if Weavile is the target of a foe's move that move loses one additional pp.
