Terastal Phenomenon
In Pokemon Scarlet and Violet (Generation 9), each Pokémon in Paldea has a Tera Type. A Pokémon's Tera Type is inactive until the Pokémon Terastallizes, at which time the Pokémon's type will change to its Tera Type.
There are 18 types, meaning there are countless combinations of Pokémon and Tera Types. Terastallizing a Pokémon allows you to enhance your battle strategies by increasing the power of any moves that have the same type as your Pokémon’s Tera Type or by changing your Pokémon’s weaknesses.
Fairy moves are bad against Steel/Poison/Fire.
Bug moves are bad against Steel/Poison/Fairy/Fighting/Fire/Flying/Ghost.
Dragon moves are bad against Fairy.
Fighting moves are bad against Ghost.
Ice moves are bad against Water/Steel/Fire/Ice.
The most recommended Terastral Type for Hydreigon is: Electric, Steel, Poison or Fire
Considering the amount of shared resistances against typings this Pokemon is usually weak to, we also recommend: Steel, Fairy, Fire or Ghost
We strongly suggest: Steel, Fairy, Fire or Ghost
Terastallizing into one of it's default typings ( Dark or Dragon ) could also prove favorable.

- Earthquake / Stomping Tantrum
Hydreigon is a stupendous Physical Sweeper in single battles. It's designed to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Choice Band will increase the damage of Hydreigon's physical moves by 1.5x at the cost of locking you into the first move you pick. Life Orb boosts the power of Hydreigon's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Levitate, Hydreigon is immune to damaging Ground-typed moves (except Thousand Arrows). Levitate also makes Hydreigon unaffected by the effects of Spikes, Arena Trap, Toxic Spikes, Sticky Web, Rototiller or terrain effects. Keep in mind that Ingrain, Gravity, Smack down and the Iron ball item will nullify Levitate's effect.
