Crawdaunt is an extraordinary Water and Dark-typed Pokemon. It's pretty regular to see Crawdaunt show up as a X/Y opponent. Crawdaunt is typically seen in the UU tier (Underused). Crawdaunt is weak to Bug, Electric, Fairy, Fighting, and Grass-typed attacks.

Physical Sweeper Crawdaunt (Adaptability)
Crawdaunt is a pretty decent Physical Sweeper. It's designed to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Choice Band will increase the damage of Crawdaunt's physical moves by 1.5x at the cost of locking you into the first move you pick. With Adaptability, Crawdaunt's same-type attack bonus (stab) is 2 instead of 1.5. X-Scissor or Avalanche are added to provide additional threat coverage.
♦ Waterfall is a physical STAB-boosted 80-base power Water-type move (20% chance to flinch the target).
♦ Knock Off is a physical STAB-boosted 65-base power Dark-type move (1.5x damage if foe holds an item; Note: This will also remove that item).
♦ Night Slash is a physical STAB-boosted 70-base power Dark-type move (high critical hit ratio).
♦ Superpower is a physical 120-base power Fighting-type move (lowers your Crawdaunt's attack and defense by 1 stage).
♦ Brick Break is a physical 75-base power Fighting-type move (destroys screens, unless the target is immune).
♦ X-Scissor is a physical 80-base power Bug-type move that deals a decent amount of damage.
♦ Avalanche is a physical 60-base power Ice-type move (power doubles if Crawdaunt is damaged by the target).

Crawdaunt is a spectacular Physical Sweeper. It was designed to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Leftovers are always a great recovery option to ensure Crawdaunt last longer regaining it's it's HP every turn. With Adaptability, Crawdaunt's same-type attack bonus (stab) is 2 instead of 1.5.

Crawdaunt is a sensational Physical Wall. It is meant to take a decent amount of physical hits while dealing some decent damage. With Hyper Cutter, prevents other pokemon from lowering Crawdaunt's attack stat stage.

Life Orb boosts the power of Crawdaunt's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Adaptability, Crawdaunt's same-type attack bonus (stab) is 2 instead of 1.5.
