Life Orb boosts the power of Gothitelle's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Competitive, Gothitelle's sp. atk is raised by 2 for each of its stats that is lowered by a foe.

Gothitelle is a stupendous Double Wall. It was designed to have enough defenses and bulk to take both physical and special hits. With Frisk, on switch-in Gothitelle identifies the held items of all opposing pokemon. Another Troll. With Frisk as Ability, you can identity the held item of an opponent. Once seen, use Embargo so that it will no longer have the effects of the item. When battling, use Fake tears to sharply lower its SP. Defense. Use Flatter to boost it's SP. Attack while confusing it. Once confuse and sharply lowered your opponent's SP defense, chances are hitting itself with boosted SP Attack gaining a bigger damage. Use Psychic to prolong the agony. Note: Wise glass boosts your pokemon's SP Attack by 20%, what more can you ask?

With Shadow Tag, prevents adjacent foes from choosing to switch unless they also have this ability. Tickle and Psyshock work very well together since Tickle also lowers the opponent's defense.
