What is a good competitive moveset for Muk? These builds have been optimized for Pokemon competing in X/Y Single Battles. The movesets and EVs have been specifically calibrated to deal the most amount of damage to the largest group of potentially common opponents and typing threats for the X/Y generation metagame.
Muk is a marvelous Poison-typed Pokemon. It's common to find yourself dealing with Muk when battling in the 6th generation meta. Muk's only type-related weaknesses are Ground and Psychic.

Physical Sweeper Muk (Poison Touch)
Muk is a wonderful Physical Sweeper. It's primary goal is to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Choice Band will increase the damage of Muk's physical moves by 1.5x at the cost of locking you into the first move you pick. Life Orb boosts the power of Muk's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Poison Touch, Muk's contact moves have a 30% chance of poisoning.
♦ Return is a physical 0-base power Normal-type move (max 102 power at maximum happiness).
♦ Body Slam is a physical 85-base power Normal-type move (30% chance to paralyze the target).
♦ Brick Break is a physical 75-base power Fighting-type move (destroys screens, unless the target is immune).
♦ Thunder Punch is a physical 75-base power Electric-type move (10% chance to paralyze the target).

Muk Support (Flame Orb Muk)
Muk is a pretty decent Support. Flame Orb will burn Muk at the end of the turn. With Poison Touch, Muk's contact moves have a 30% chance of poisoning. Facade's damage doubles when the user has a status affliction.
♦ Shadow Punch is a physical 60-base power Ghost-type move (this move does not check accuracy).
♦ Facade is a physical 70-base power Normal-type move (power doubles if Muk is burn/poison/paralyzed).
