Samurott is an awesome Water-typed Pokemon. It's normal to see Samurott show up as a X/Y opponent. This Pokemon deserves to see more play in the meta. Samurott's only type-related weaknesses are Electric and Grass.

Physical Sweeper Samurott (Shell Armor)
Samurott is a fabulous Physical Sweeper. It's primary goal is to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Choice Band will increase the damage of Samurott's physical moves by 1.5x at the cost of locking you into the first move you pick. Life Orb boosts the power of Samurott's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Shell Armor, Samurott cannot be struck by a critical hit.
♦ Waterfall is a physical STAB-boosted 80-base power Water-type move (20% chance to flinch the target).
♦ Superpower is a physical 120-base power Fighting-type move (lowers your Samurott's attack and defense by 1 stage).
♦ Revenge is a physical 60-base power Fighting-type move (power doubles if Samurott is damaged by the target).
♦ Return is a physical 0-base power Normal-type move (max 102 power at maximum happiness).
♦ Slash is a physical 70-base power Normal-type move (high critical hit ratio).

Samurott is a stupendous Special Tank. It's primary goal is to take a considerable amount of hits from special attacks while dealing some decent damage. Leftovers are always a great recovery option to ensure Samurott last longer regaining it's it's life every turn. With Torrent, at 1/3 or less of its max hp Samurott's attacking stat is 1.5x with water attacks.
♦ Grass Knot is a special 0-base power Grass-type move (more power the heavier the target).
♦ Hydro Cannon is a special STAB-boosted 150-base power Water-type move (Samurott cannot move next turn).
