What is a good competitive moveset for Scraggy? These builds have been optimized for Pokemon competing in X/Y Single Battles. The movesets and EVs have been specifically calibrated to deal the most amount of damage to the largest group of potentially common opponents and typing threats for the X/Y generation metagame.
Scraggy is a fabulous Dark and Fighting-typed Pokemon. Scraggy is not a Pokemon anyone usually expects sees on the battlefield. Scraggy can be quite a contender in the LC tier (Little Cup). Scraggy is weak to Fairy, Fighting, and Flying-typed attacks.
Item: Life Orb / Choice Band
Ability: Intimidate
Nature: Adamant (+Atk, -SpA)
EVs: 252 Hp / 252 Atk / 4 SpD

Physical Sweeper Scraggy (Intimidate)
Scraggy is a phenomenal Physical Sweeper. It is designed to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Choice Band will increase the damage of Scraggy's physical moves by 1.5x at the cost of locking you into the first move you pick. Life Orb boosts the power of Scraggy's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Intimidate, on switch-in Scraggy lowers the attack of adjacent opponents by 1 stage. Thunder Punch was added to provide additional threat coverage.
♦ Brick Break is a physical STAB-boosted 75-base power Fighting-type move (destroys screens, unless the target is immune).
♦ Knock Off is a physical STAB-boosted 65-base power Dark-type move (1.5x damage if foe holds an item; Note: This will also remove that item).
♦ Foul Play is a physical STAB-boosted 95-base power Dark-type move (uses target's attack stat in damage calculation).
♦ Thunder Punch is a physical 75-base power Electric-type move (10% chance to paralyze the target).
♦ Return is a physical 0-base power Normal-type move (max 102 power at maximum happiness).
♦ Dragon Claw is a physical 80-base power Dragon-type move that deals a great amount of damage.

Scraggy Physical Sweeper (Scraggamuffin)
Scraggy is a pretty decent Physical Sweeper. It's primary goal is to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Scraggy is not a Pokemon anyone usually expects sees on the battlefield but Eviolite makes it possibly stronger than it's final form. If Eviolite is held by a Pokémon that is not fully evolved, it will raises the Defense and Special Defense of that Pokemon by 50%. With Shed Skin, Scraggy has a 33% chance to have its status cured at the end of each turn.
♦ Bulk Up is a status move (raises your Scraggy's attack and defense by 1 stage).
♦ Rest is a status move (Scraggy sleeps 2 turns and restores hp and status).
♦ Ice Punch is a physical 75-base power Ice-type move (10% chance to freeze the target).

Scraggy Special Wall (Bae )
Scraggy is an awesome Special Wall. It's designed to take a considerable amount of hits from special attacks while dealing some decent damage. Scraggy is not a Pokemon anyone usually expects sees on the battlefield until Eviolite was equipped. If Eviolite is held by a Pokémon that is not fully evolved, it will raises the Defense and Special Defense of that Pokemon by 50%. With Shed Skin, Scraggy has a 33% chance to have its status cured at the end of each turn. I partake in Wonder Trade Wednesdays with King Nappy and Hoodlum Scrafty. While taking part, I wonder-traded with a Nintendo worker and acquired this. O.T: Smogon. I freaked out so hard. It is now my best mid-game sweeper. The only problem is that it can't stand fairy types.
