What is a good competitive moveset for Scraggy? These builds have been optimized for Pokemon competing in Sword/Shield Single Battles. The movesets and EVs have been specifically calibrated to deal the most amount of damage to the largest group of potentially common opponents and typing threats for the Sword/Shield generation metagame.
Scraggy is an awesome Dark and Fighting-typed Pokemon. Scraggy is not a Pokemon anyone usually expects sees on the battlefield. Scraggy is weak to Fairy, Fighting, and Flying-typed attacks.
Item: Life Orb / Choice Band

Nature: Adamant (+Atk, -SpA)
EVs: 252 Hp / 252 Atk / 4 SpD

Physical Sweeper Scraggy (Shed Skin)
Scraggy is a fabulous Physical Sweeper for single battles. It attempts to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Choice Band will increase the damage of Scraggy's physical moves by 1.5x at the cost of locking you into the first move you pick. Life Orb boosts the power of Scraggy's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Shed Skin, Scraggy has a 33% chance to have its status cured at the end of each turn.
◆ Brick Break is a physical STAB-boosted 75-base power Fighting-type move (destroys screens, unless the target is immune).
◆ Knock Off is a physical STAB-boosted 65-base power Dark-type move (1.5x damage if foe holds an item; Note: This will also remove that item).
◆ Crunch is a physical STAB-boosted 80-base power Dark-type move (20% chance to lower the target's defense by 1 stage).
◆ Dragon Claw is a physical 80-base power Dragon-type move that deals a great amount of damage.
◆ Iron Head is a physical 80-base power Steel-type move (30% chance to make the target flinch).

Scraggy Physical Sweeper (Scraggamuffin)
Scraggy is an extraordinary Physical Sweeper for single battles. It's primary goal is to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Scraggy is not a Pokemon anyone usually expects sees on the battlefield until it was realized Eviolite would make it quite viable. If Eviolite is held by a Pokémon that is not fully evolved, it will raises the Defense and Special Defense of that Pokemon by 50%. With Shed Skin, Scraggy has a 33% chance to have its status cured at the end of each turn.
◆ Bulk Up is a status move (raises your Scraggy's attack and defense by 1 stage).
◆ Rest is a status move (Scraggy sleeps 2 turns and restores hp and status).
◆ Ice Punch is a physical 75-base power Ice-type move (10% chance to freeze the target).

Scraggy Special Wall (Bae )
Scraggy is a pretty decent Special Wall for single battles. It attempts to take a substantial amount of hits from special attacks while dealing some decent damage. Scraggy is not a Pokemon anyone usually expects sees on the battlefield but Eviolite changes that. If Eviolite is held by a Pokémon that is not fully evolved, it will raises the Defense and Special Defense of that Pokemon by 50%. With Shed Skin, Scraggy has a 33% chance to have its status cured at the end of each turn. I partake in Wonder Trade Wednesdays with King Nappy and Hoodlum Scrafty. While taking part, I wonder-traded with a Nintendo worker and acquired this. O.T: Smogon. I freaked out so hard. It is now my best mid-game sweeper. The only problem is that it can't stand fairy types.
