Tangrowth is pretty popular Grass-typed Pokemon. It's a almost common sight to see Tangrowth out in the 6th generation battlefield. Tangrowth can usually be found in the OU tier (Overused). Tangrowth is weak to Bug, Fire, Flying, Ice, and Poison-typed attacks.

Physical Sweeper Tangrowth (Chlorophyll)
Tangrowth is a wonderful Physical Sweeper. It's purpose is to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Choice Band will increase the damage of Tangrowth's physical moves by 1.5x at the cost of locking you into the first move you pick. Life Orb boosts the power of Tangrowth's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Chlorophyll, Tangrowth's speed is doubled during sunny weather. Brick Break was added to provide additional threat coverage.

♦ Seed Bomb is a physical STAB-boosted 80-base power Grass-type move that deals a great amount of damage.
♦ Vine Whip is a physical STAB-boosted 45-base power Grass-type move that deals damage.
♦ Earthquake is a physical 100-base power Ground-type move (hits adjacent pokemon).
♦ Knock Off is a physical 65-base power Dark-type move (1.5x damage if foe holds an item; Note: This will also remove that item).

Tangrowth is a pretty decent Physical Tank. It is designed to take a large amount of physical hits while dealing some decent damage. With Chlorophyll, Tangrowth's speed is doubled during sunny weather. amnesia for those afflicted with sleep or paralysis.
