Ability: Chlorophyll
Nature: Adamant (+Atk, -SpA)

Physical Sweeper Tangrowth (Chlorophyll)

Tangrowth is pretty popular Physical Sweeper. It's primary goal is to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Focus Sash helps protect Tangrowth from being one-shotted and allowing it to atleast use a crucial move when brought out. Life Orb boosts the power of Tangrowth's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Chlorophyll, if sunny day is active Tangrowth's speed is doubled.

Double-Edge is a physical 120-base power Normal-type move (has 33% recoil).
Return is a physical 0-base power Normal-type move (max 102 power at maximum happiness).
Seed Bomb is a physical STAB-boosted 80-base power Grass-type move that deals a decent amount of damage.
Earthquake is a physical 100-base power Ground-type move (hits adjacent pokemon; Note: Earthquake does double damage on Pokemon using dig).

Special Sweeper Tangrowth (Chlorophyll)

Tangrowth is a spectacular Special Sweeper. It is primarily designed to take down the opponent's team with high-damaging special attacks.

Leaf Storm is a special STAB-boosted 130-base power Grass-type move (lowers your Tangrowth's special attack by 2 stages).

Species: Tangrowth
Item: Red Card
Ability: Chlorophyll
Nature: Impish (+Def, -SpA)
EVs: 202 Atk / 252 Def / 56 Spe
Moveset:
- Power Whip
- Synthesis
- Amnesia
- Stun Spore

Tangrowth Physical Tank (Gigaplant)

Tangrowth is an astounding Physical Tank. It attempts to take a nice amount of physical hits while dealing some decent damage. With Chlorophyll, if sunny day is active Tangrowth's speed is doubled. amnesia for those afflicted with sleep or paralysis. red card for the inevitable switch ins. they will switch in someone who deals special damage. which is why you need both amnesia and the red card. synthesis and powerwhip the last move is a gamble on your behalf. hidden power fire to complete the coverage is nice but tangrowth isn't meant to deal damage, just absorb it so I stick with stun spore, since sleep clause is in effect and breloom is still around. that, and they can't "wake up" from paralysis. Tangrowth can comfortably take ice punch and in sunlight would heal more than the damage dealt.

Power Whip is a physical STAB-boosted 120-base power Grass-type move that deals a gigantic amount of damage.
Synthesis is a status move (heals your Tangrowth by a weather-dependent amount).
Amnesia is a status move (raises your Tangrowth's special defense by 2 stages).
Stun Spore is a status move (paralyzes the target).
