Lugia is a spectacular Psychic and Flying-typed Pokemon. It's almost common to find yourself dealing with Lugia when battling in the 6th generation meta. Lugia is considered strong enough to compete with Uber tiered Pokemon. Lugia is weak to Dark, Electric, Ghost, Ice, and Rock-typed attacks.

Physical Sweeper Lugia (Multiscale)
Lugia is a legendary Physical Sweeper. It is meant to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Choice Band will increase the damage of Lugia's physical moves by 1.5x at the cost of locking you into the first move you pick. Life Orb boosts the power of Lugia's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Multiscale, if Lugia is at full hp damage taken from attacks is halved. Aqua Tail was added to provide additional threat coverage.

♦ Aqua Tail is a physical 90-base power Water-type move that deals a considerable amount of damage.

Life Orb boosts the power of Lugia's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. Lugia is a legendary Double Wall. It's designed to have enough defenses and bulk to take both physical and special hits.
