What is a good competitive moveset for Armaldo? These builds have been optimized for Pokemon competing in Black/White Single Battles. The movesets and EVs have been specifically calibrated to deal the most amount of damage to the largest group of potentially common opponents and typing threats for the Black/White generation metagame.
Armaldo is pretty popular Rock and Bug-typed Pokemon. Armaldo is a not-uncommon Pokemon to see in Generation 5. This Pokemon deserves to see more play in the meta. Armaldo is weak to Rock, Steel, and Water-typed attacks.

Physical Sweeper Armaldo (Swift Swim)
Armaldo is pretty popular Physical Sweeper. It's purpose is to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. White Herb will reset Armaldo's negative stat changes once (specifically for when it uses Superpower). Life Orb boosts the power of Armaldo's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Swift Swim, if rain dance is active Armaldo's speed is doubled. Aqua Tail was added to provide additional threat coverage.

♦ Aqua Tail is a physical 90-base power Water-type move that deals a decent amount of damage.
♦ Double-Edge is a physical 120-base power Normal-type move (has 33% recoil).
♦ Superpower is a physical 120-base power Fighting-type move (lowers your Armaldo's attack and defense by 1 stage).
♦ Brick Break is a physical 75-base power Fighting-type move (destroys screens, unless the target is immune).
♦ Rock Slide is a physical STAB-boosted 75-base power Rock-type move (30% chance to flinch the foes).
♦ Smack Down is a physical STAB-boosted 50-base power Rock-type move (removes the target's ground immunity).

Armaldo is a fabulous Physical Tank. It was designed to take a good amount of physical hits while dealing some decent damage. With Battle Armor, Armaldo cannot be struck by a critical hit.
