What is a good competitive moveset for Diglett? These builds have been optimized for Pokemon competing in Black/White Single Battles. The movesets and EVs have been specifically calibrated to deal the most amount of damage to the largest group of potentially common opponents and typing threats for the Black/White generation metagame.
Diglett is an extraordinary Ground-typed Pokemon. Diglett is not a Pokemon anyone usually expects sees on the battlefield. Diglett can be quite a contender in the LC tier (Little Cup). Diglett is weak to Grass, Ice, and Water-typed attacks.

Physical Sweeper Diglett (Sand Force)
Diglett is an outstanding Physical Sweeper. It's primary goal is to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Focus Sash helps protect Diglett from being one-shotted and allowing it to atleast use a crucial move when brought out. Life Orb boosts the power of Diglett's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Sand Force, Diglett's ground/rock/steel attacks do 1.3x in sandstorm; immunity to it.
♦ Bulldoze is a physical STAB-boosted 60-base power Ground-type move (100% chance lower adjacent pkmn speed by 1 stage).
♦ Double-Edge is a physical 120-base power Normal-type move (has 33% recoil).
♦ Frustration is a physical 0-base power Normal-type move (max 102 power at minimum happiness).
♦ Rock Slide is a physical 75-base power Rock-type move (30% chance to flinch the foes).
♦ Sucker Punch is a physical priority-increased 80-base power Dark-type move (usually goes first. fails if target is not attacking).
♦ Thief is a physical 40-base power Dark-type move (if your Diglett has no item, it steals the target's).

Focus Sash helps protect Diglett from being one-shotted and allowing it to atleast use a crucial move when brought out. Life Orb boosts the power of Diglett's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Arena Trap, prevents adjacent foes from choosing to switch unless they are airborne. Rock Slide was added to provide additional threat coverage.
