What is a good competitive moveset for Diglett? These builds have been optimized for Pokemon competing in Ruby/Sapphire Single Battles. The movesets and EVs have been specifically calibrated to deal the most amount of damage to the largest group of potentially common opponents and typing threats for the Ruby/Sapphire generation metagame.
Diglett is a pretty decent Ground-typed Pokemon. Diglett is not a Pokemon anyone usually expects sees on the battlefield. This Pokemon deserves to see more play in the meta. Diglett is weak to Grass, Ice, and Water-typed attacks.
Diglett is an awesome Physical Sweeper. It's meant to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Don't forget back before Generation IV, a move's damage category was determined by its type. With Arena Trap, prevents adjacent foes from choosing to switch unless they are airborne.
♦ Earthquake is a physical STAB-boosted 100-base power Ground-type move (hits adjacent pokemon. power doubles on dig). ♦ Dig is a physical STAB-boosted 60-base power Ground-type move (digs underground turn 1, strikes turn 2). ♦ Double-Edge is a physical 120-base power Normal-type move (has 1/3 recoil). ♦ Frustration is a physical 0-base power Normal-type move (max 102 power at minimum happiness). ♦ Sludge Bomb is a physical 90-base power Poison-type move (30% chance to poison the target). ♦ Rock Slide is a physical 75-base power Rock-type move (30% chance to flinch the foes). ♦ Ancient Power is a physical 60-base power Rock-type move (10% chance to raise all stats by 1 stage (not acc/eva)).

Several moves listed here may have additional effects that might alter actual damage output which are not factored on this specific list. Use damage calculators to find actual damage amounts.
