Focus Sash helps protect Larvesta from being one-shotted and allowing it to atleast use a crucial move when brought out. Life Orb boosts the power of Larvesta's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Flame Body, 30% chance a pokemon making contact with Larvesta will be burned.

Larvesta is a stupendous Physical Sweeper. The purpose of this moveset is to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Larvesta is not a Pokemon anyone usually expects sees on the battlefield until it was realized Eviolite would make it quite viable. If Eviolite is held by a Pokémon that is not fully evolved, it will raises the Defense and Special Defense of that Pokemon by 50%. Larvesta s similar to Trapinch:they both have an attack stat higher or equal to their evolution(s). Larvesta has a base 80 attack, while Volcarona has only 60. Then again, Volcarona is special.

Flame Charge is a physical STAB-boosted 50-base power Fire-type move (100% chance to raise your Larvesta's speed by 1 stage).
Wild Charge is a physical 90-base power Electric-type move (has 1/4 recoil).
