White Herb will reset Volcarona's negative stat changes once (specifically for when it uses Overheat). Focus Sash helps protect Volcarona from being one-shotted and allowing it to atleast use a crucial move when brought out. Life Orb boosts the power of Volcarona's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Flame Body, 30% chance a pokemon making contact with Volcarona will be burned.

Life Orb boosts the power of Volcarona's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Flame Body, 30% chance a pokemon making contact with Volcarona will be burned. Lum Berry I would first choose for item.
