Murkrow is a fabulous Physical Sweeper. It's goal is to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Remember prior to Generation IV, a move's damage category was determined by its type.
♦ Sky Attack is a physical STAB-boosted 140-base power Flying-type move (charges turn 1. hits turn 2).
♦ Return is a physical 0-base power Normal-type move (max 102 power at maximum happiness).
♦ Quick Attack is a physical priority-increased 40-base power Normal-type move (usually goes first).
♦ Shadow Ball is a physical 80-base power Ghost-type move (20% chance to lower the target's special defense by 1 stage).
♦ Night Shade is a physical 0-base power Ghost-type move (does damage equal to your Murkrow's level).
♦ Steel Wing is a physical 70-base power Steel-type move (10% chance to raise your Murkrow's defense by 1 stage).
