What is a good competitive moveset for Sylveon? These builds have been optimized for Pokemon competing in Sword/Shield Single Battles. The movesets and EVs have been specifically calibrated to deal the most amount of damage to the largest group of potentially common opponents and typing threats for the Sword/Shield generation metagame.
Sylveon is a decent Fairy-typed Pokemon. Sylveon is a normal Pokemon to see in Generation 8. This Pokemon deserves to see more play in the meta. Sylveon's only type-related weaknesses are Poison and Steel.

Special Tank Sylveon (Popular/Trending)
Sylveon is a pretty decent Special Tank for single battles. It is designed to take a large amount of hits from special attacks while dealing some decent damage. Leftovers are always a great recovery option to ensure Sylveon last longer regaining it's life every turn. With Pixilate, Sylveon's normal-type moves become fairy type and have 1.2x power. With a Pixie Plate equipped, holder's fairy-type attacks have 1.2x power.

Life Orb boosts the power of Sylveon's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Pixilate, Sylveon's normal-type moves become fairy type and have 1.2x power.
