What is a good competitive moveset for Bulbasaur? These builds have been optimized for Pokemon competing in Black/White Single Battles. The movesets and EVs have been specifically calibrated to deal the most amount of damage to the largest group of potentially common opponents and typing threats for the Black/White generation metagame.
Bulbasaur is an interesting Grass and Poison-typed Pokemon. Bulbasaur is not a Pokemon anyone usually expects sees on the battlefield. Bulbasaur can be quite a contender in the LC tier (Little Cup). Bulbasaur is weak to Fire, Flying, Ice, and Psychic-typed attacks.

Special Sweeper Bulbasaur (Chlorophyll)
Bulbasaur is an extraordinary Special Sweeper. It's goal is to take down the opponent's team with high-damaging special attacks. Bulbasaur is not a Pokemon anyone usually expects sees on the battlefield until it was realized Eviolite would make it quite viable. If Eviolite is held by a Pokémon that is not fully evolved, it will raises the Defense and Special Defense of that Pokemon by 50%. White Herb will reset Bulbasaur's negative stat changes once (specifically for when it uses Leaf Storm). Focus Sash helps protect Bulbasaur from being one-shotted and allowing it to atleast use a crucial move when brought out. Life Orb boosts the power of Bulbasaur's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Chlorophyll, if sunny day is active Bulbasaur's speed is doubled.
♦ Petal Dance is a special STAB-boosted 120-base power Grass-type move (lasts 2-3 turns. confuses your Bulbasaur afterwards).
♦ Sludge Bomb is a special STAB-boosted 90-base power Poison-type move (30% chance to poison the target).
♦ Sludge is a special STAB-boosted 65-base power Poison-type move (30% chance to poison the target).
♦ Round is a special 60-base power Normal-type move (power doubles if others used round this turn).
♦ Weather Ball is a special 50-base power Normal-type move (power doubles and type varies in each weather).
♦ Mud-Slap is a special 20-base power Ground-type move (100% chance to lower the target's accuracy by 1 stage).

Bulbasaur Double Wall (The One Nobody Picked)
Bulbasaur is an awesome Double Wall. It's purpose is to have enough defenses and bulk to take both physical and special hits. Bulbasaur is not a Pokemon anyone usually expects sees on the battlefield until Eviolite was equipped. If Eviolite is held by a Pokémon that is not fully evolved, it will raises the Defense and Special Defense of that Pokemon by 50%. With Overgrow, at 1/3 or less of its max hp Bulbasaur's attacking stat is 1.5x with grass attacks.
♦ Giga Drain is a special STAB-boosted 75-base power Grass-type move (Bulbasaur recovers 50% of the damage dealt).
♦ Energy Ball is a special STAB-boosted 80-base power Grass-type move (10% chance to lower the target's special defense by 1 stage).
♦ Sludge Bomb is a special STAB-boosted 90-base power Poison-type move (30% chance to poison the target).
♦ Sleep Powder is a status move (causes the target to fall asleep).
