Bulbasaur is a stupendous Grass and Poison-typed Pokemon. Bulbasaur is not a Pokemon anyone usually expects sees on the battlefield. Bulbasaur can be quite a contender in the LC tier (Little Cup). Bulbasaur is weak to Fire, Flying, Ice, and Psychic-typed attacks.

Bulbasaur is an outstanding Special Sweeper. It is primarily designed to take down the opponent's team with high-damaging special attacks. Choice Specs will increase the damage of Bulbasaur's special moves by 1.5x but will lock you into the first move you pick. Life Orb boosts the power of Bulbasaur's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Overgrow, at 1/3 or less of its max hp Bulbasaur's grass-type attacks have 1.5x power.
