Choice Scarf will increase Gallade's speed by 1.5x but will lock you into the first move you pick. With Justified, Gallade's attack is raised by 1 stage after it is damaged by a dark-type move. With a Assault Vest equipped to it, Gallade's sp. Def is 1.5x, but it can only select damaging moves.

Knock Off was added to provide additional threat coverage. With a Fightinium Z equipped to it, if Gallade has a fighting move, this item allows it to use a fighting z-move.

Gallade is a phenomenal Physical Sweeper for single battles. It was designed to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Life Orb boosts the power of Gallade's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. With Steadfast, if Gallade flinches its speed is raised by 1 stage. It has sufficient bulk to set up, and enough Speed to dominate a good portion of the tier. If it is lucky enough to pick up a Justified boost, Gallade's immense power becomes amplified to frightening heights.
