What is a good competitive moveset for Beedrill? These builds have been optimized for Pokemon competing in X/Y Single Battles. The movesets and EVs have been specifically calibrated to deal the most amount of damage to the largest group of potentially common opponents and typing threats for the X/Y generation metagame.
Beedrill is a sensational Bug and Poison-typed Pokemon. It's pretty standard to find yourself dealing with Beedrill when battling in the 6th generation meta. Beedrill is weak to Fire, Flying, Psychic, and Rock-typed attacks.

Physical Sweeper Beedrill (Sniper)
Beedrill is a stupendous Physical Sweeper. It attempts to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Scope Lens/Razor Claw increases Beedrill critical hit ratio by 1 stage and combined with Beedrill's Sniper ability will increase the amount of damage done by those critial hits. With Sniper, if Beedrill strikes with a critical hit the damage is multiplied by 1.5. Knock Off or Brick Break are added to provide additional threat coverage.
♦ Knock Off is a physical 65-base power Dark-type move (1.5x damage if foe holds an item; Note: This will also remove that item).
♦ Brick Break is a physical 75-base power Fighting-type move (destroys screens, unless the target is immune).
♦ Poison Jab is a physical STAB-boosted 80-base power Poison-type move (30% chance to poison the target).
♦ X-Scissor is a physical STAB-boosted 80-base power Bug-type move that deals a nice amount of damage.
♦ U-turn is a physical STAB-boosted 70-base power Bug-type move (Beedrill switches out after damaging the target).
