Forretress is a marvelous Bug and Steel-typed Pokemon. It's pretty standard to see Forretress show up as a Diamond/Pearl opponent. Forretress can usually be found in the OU tier (Overused). Forretress's only type-related weakness is Fire.

Forretress is a decent Physical Sweeper. It's primary goal is to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. With Sturdy, ohko moves fail when used against Forretress.

Forretress Double Wall (Hazard Spinner)
Forretress is popular Double Wall. It is designed to have enough defenses and bulk to take both physical and special hits. Leftovers are always a great recovery option to ensure Forretress last longer regaining it's it's health every turn. With Sturdy, ohko moves fail when used against Forretress. My first spinner and my hazard layer. Forretress is my favorite pokemon, but unfortunately he really isn't the best mon out there. He does have a nice niche though that he can come into many choiced physical attacks and outraging dragons and set up lots and lots of field hazards. It's good ferrothorn never got Rapid Spin or forretress would be completely outclassed.
