Lapras is a remarkable Physical Sweeper in single battles. It is designed to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Out of the original 151, Lapras was quite something to try to play with in the first generation meta. Previously before Generation IV, a move's damage category was determined by its type.
♦ Body Slam is a physical 85-base power Normal-type move (30% chance to paralyze the target).
♦ Toxic is a status move (badly poisons the target).
