Physical Sweeper Parasect (Retro)
Parasect is a pretty decent Physical Sweeper in single battles. It tries to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Gen1 meta was a totally different monster. Keep in mind back before Generation IV, a move's damage category was determined by its type.
♦ Double-Edge is a physical 100-base power Normal-type move (has 1/4 recoil). ♦ Body Slam is a physical 85-base power Normal-type move (30% chance to paralyze the target). ♦ Dig is a physical 100-base power Ground-type move (digs underground turn 1, strikes turn 2). ♦ Leech Life is a physical STAB-boosted 20-base power Bug-type move (Parasect recovers 50% of the damage dealt). ♦ Stun Spore is a status move (paralyzes the target).

Out of the original 151, Parasect was quite something to try to play with in the first generation meta. Back before Generation IV, a move's damage category was determined by its type.

Note: The damage listed here under Versus is not actually calculated using the in-game damage formula. It is simply calculated using typing weaknesses and resistances from the selected type-matchup modifier along with STAB (if applied) to help sort through and give a general idea as to how powerful certain moves might be towards that selected typing after modifiers are applied. Several moves listed here may have additional effects that might alter actual damage output which are not factored on this specific list. Use damage calculators to find actual damage amounts.
