Weezing is a phenomenal Physical Sweeper in single battles. This moveset attempts to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Out of the original 151, Weezing was quite something to try to play with in the first generation meta. Don't forget back before Generation IV, a move's damage category was determined by its type.
♦ Sludge is a physical STAB-boosted 65-base power Poison-type move (40% chance to poison the target). ♦ Hyper Beam is a physical 150-base power Normal-type move (can't move next turn if target or sub is not koed). ♦ Tackle is a physical 35-base power Normal-type move that deals damage. ♦ Toxic is a status move (badly poisons the target). ♦ Substitute is a status move (Weezing takes 1/4 its max hp to put in a substitute).

Note: The damage listed here under Versus is not actually calculated using the in-game damage formula. It is simply calculated using typing weaknesses and resistances from the selected type-matchup modifier along with STAB (if applied) to help sort through and give a general idea as to how powerful certain moves might be towards that selected typing after modifiers are applied. Several moves listed here may have additional effects that might alter actual damage output which are not factored on this specific list. Use damage calculators to find actual damage amounts.
