Focus Sash helps protect Tyranitar from being one-shotted and allowing it to atleast use a crucial move when brought out. Weakness Policy activates if Tyranitar is hit by a super effective move. The Weakness Policy is consumed and its Attack and Special Attack are increased by two stages each. Sand Stream changes the weather to a Sandstorm when Tyranitar is sent out onto the field. This damages all Pokemon every turn while the Sandstorm remains active unless they are Rock-, Steel- or Ground-typed. Sandstorm also raises the Special Defense of all Rock-type Pokémon by 50%.
