Item: Darkinium Z
Ability: Disguise
Nature: Adamant (+Atk, -SpA)
Nature: Jolly (+Spe, -SpA)
EVs: 4 Hp / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Moveset:
- Shadow Claw
- Drain Punch
- Snatch
- Protect
Dominating double battles, Mimikyu is a phenomenal Physical Sweeper. The main aim of this moveset is to crush rivals using overwhelming physical attacks. With Disguise, (mimikyu only) first hit deals 0 damage breaks disguise. This idea comes from a very talented trainer named Neev. Activate Z-snatch first turn alongside another Pokemon using a status boosting move (such as Belly Drum) to imitate. This will boost Mimikyu's speed stat by +2 stages from the Zcrystal as well as copy any beneficial status move used this turn - such as Belly drum's +6 attack boost. A great partner for this is Clefairy (with eviolite) who can Belly Drum first turn alongside Mimikyu and then provide continued support with defensive moves like Follow me, Helping Hand, or Life Dew to keep your now fully powered Mimikyu alive as long as possible to wreck your opponent. Another team mate with Psych-up would pair quite well after your initial partner faints to copy Mimikyu's stats (ideally while Mimi uses Protect). With a Darkinium Z equipped to it, if Mimikyu has a dark move, this item allows it to use a dark z-move.
◆ Drain Punch is a physical 75-base power Fighting-type move (Mimikyu recovers 50% of the damage dealt).
◆ Snatch is a status move (Mimikyu steals certain support moves to use itself).
◆ Protect is a status move (prevents moves from affecting your Mimikyu this turn).
