Politoed is an interesting Physical Wall. It was designed to take a mighty amount of physical hits while dealing some decent damage. Leftovers are always a great recovery option to ensure Politoed last longer regaining it's it's HP every turn. Choice Scarf will increase Politoed's speed by 1.5x but will lock you into the first move you pick. Drizzle changes the weather to Rain when Politoed is sent out onto the field. This help boosts all water attacks while the Rain remains active.

Politoed Special Tank (Puddles Of Win)
Politoed is a phenomenal Special Tank. It tries to take a considerable amount of hits from special attacks while dealing some decent damage. Drizzle changes the weather to Rain when Politoed is sent out onto the field. This help boosts all water attacks while the Rain remains active. One of the few things stopping Politoed from drowning whatever gets in it's way is Hydro Pump's imperfect accuracy (Like always Surf is the main alternative to this). Scald is a nice option considering the burn it can give Ferrothorn and other stalls. However, Hydro Pump's power is needed for allowing Politoed to 3HKO specially defensive Tyranitar hiding in the sand and 2HKO Ninetales prancing around in sunlight.
Ice Beam punishes any Dragons that pop-up and it also deals major damage to Breloom and Latios switching in.
Focus Blast is mainly for Ferrothorn who would hate to get switched into that. Plus (as an added Bonus) Tyranitar also fears Focus Blast, suffering a 2HKO even with a defensive set in a sandstorm.
The last slot is abit of a toss-up. Personally, I prefer Hypnosis to keep the enemy asleep while goto town but it's accuracy makes this hard to keep going. As for Hidden Power Grass, it seems to be a much more viable pick since both Gastrodon and Rotom-W hate it so much and both are pretty common.
