In the old days before Generation IV, a move's damage category was determined by its type. Leftovers are always a great recovery option to ensure Meganium last longer regaining it's health points every turn.
◆ Leech Seed is a status move (1/8 of target's hp is restored to Meganium every turn).
◆ Light Screen is a status move (for 5 turns, your Meganium's party has doubled special defense).
◆ Synthesis is a status move (heals your Meganium by a weather-dependent amount).

For single battles, Meganium is a spectacular Physical Sweeper. This moveset is formulated to crush rivals using brute physical moves. Keep in mind back before Generation IV, a move's damage category was determined by its type. With a Gold Berry equipped to it, restores 30 hp when at 1/2 max hp or less then the Gold Berry gets consumed.
◆ Body Slam is a physical 85-base power Normal-type move (30% chance to paralyze the target).
◆ Earthquake is a physical 100-base power Ground-type move (power doubles on dig).
◆ Mud-Slap is a physical 20-base power Ground-type move (100% chance to lower the target's accuracy by 1 stage).
◆ Ancient Power is a physical 60-base power Rock-type move (10% chance to raise all stats by 1 stage (not acc/eva)).
◆ Rock Smash is a physical 20-base power Fighting-type move (50% chance to lower the target's defense by 1 stage).
◆ Counter is a physical 0-base power Fighting-type move (if hit by physical attack, returns double damage).
