Misdreavus is a phenomenal Ghost-typed Pokemon. It's a pretty common sight to see Misdreavus out in the 2nd generation battlefield. Misdreavus can usually be found in the OU tier (Overused). There were no known abilities back in the Gold/Silver Pokemon games. Misdreavus's only type-related weaknesses are Dark and Ghost.
Misdreavus is an interesting Support. Don't forget back before Generation IV, a move's damage category was determined by its type. Leftovers are always a great recovery option to ensure Misdreavus last longer regaining it's stamina every turn.
♦ Psychic is a special 90-base power Psychic-type move (10% chance to lower the target's special defense by 1 stage). ♦ Rest is a status move (Misdreavus sleeps 2 turns and restores hp and status). ♦ Confuse Ray is a status move (confuses the target). ♦ Pain Split is a status move (shares hp of Misdreavus and target equally). ♦ Perish Song is a status move (all active pokemon will faint in 3 turns). ♦ Toxic is a status move (badly poisons the target).
