What is a good competitive moveset for Suicune? These builds have been optimized for Pokemon competing in Gold/Silver Single Battles. The movesets and EVs have been specifically calibrated to deal the most amount of damage to the largest group of potentially common opponents and typing threats for the Gold/Silver generation metagame.
Suicune is a decent Water-typed Pokemon. It's super common to find yourself dealing with Suicune when battling in the 2nd generation meta. There were no known abilities back in the Gold/Silver Pokemon games. Suicune's only type-related weaknesses are Electric and Grass.

Suicune is a legendary Support. In the dark days before Generation IV, a move's damage category was determined by its type. Leftovers are always a great recovery option to ensure Suicune last longer regaining it's it's life every turn.

♦ Sleep Talk is a status move (Suicune must be asleep. uses another known move).
♦ Toxic is a status move (badly poisons the target).

Suicune is a legendary Physical Sweeper. It is primarily designed to take down the opponent's team with brute physical power. Before Generation IV, a move's damage category was determined by its type.
♦ Headbutt is a physical 70-base power Normal-type move (30% chance to flinch the target).
♦ Gust is a physical 40-base power Flying-type move (power doubles during fly).
♦ Dig is a physical 60-base power Ground-type move (digs underground turn 1, strikes turn 2).
♦ Rock Smash is a physical 20-base power Fighting-type move (50% chance to lower the target's defense by 1 stage).

Suicune is a legendary Special Sweeper. It's primary goal is to take down the opponent's team with high-damaging special attacks. Remember before Generation IV, a move's damage category was determined by its type.
♦ Waterfall is a special STAB-boosted 80-base power Water-type move that deals a mighty amount of damage.
♦ Ice Beam is a special 95-base power Ice-type move (10% chance to freeze the target).
♦ Aurora Beam is a special 65-base power Ice-type move (10% chance to lower the target's attack by 1 stage).
♦ Bite is a special 60-base power Dark-type move (30% chance to flinch the target).
♦ Mirror Coat is a special 0-base power Psychic-type move (if hit by special attack, returns double damage).
