Item: Shell Bell / Life Orb
Ability: Natural Cure
Nature: Adamant (+Atk, -SpA)
EVs: 4 Hp / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Moveset:
- Wood Hammer / Seed Bomb
- Poltergeist / Shadow Claw
- Foul Play
- Earthquake
For those intense single battles, Trevenant is an astounding Physical Sweeper. It's primary goal is to take down the opponent's team with potent physical attacks. Life Orb boosts the power of Trevenant's damaging moves by 1.3x but it then loses 1/10 its max HP immediately after the attack. The Shell Bell item option is to help Trevenant recover from the recoil damage it may take from Wood Hammer. With Natural Cure, Trevenant has its non-volatile status condition cured when it switches out.

Item: Sitrus Berry
Ability: Harvest
Nature: Calm (+SpD, -Atk)
EVs: 252 Hp / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Moveset:
- Protect / Shadow Claw
- Curse
- Substitute
- Leech Seed
Prepare for single battles with Trevenant as a renowned Special Wall. This moveset focuses to absorb special attacks and counter with decent force. The Sitrus Berry will restore 1/4th of Trevenant's max HP when it reaches below half health and gets consumed. With the Harvest ability, if the last item Trevenant used was a berry then there is a 50% chance to restore it at the end of each turn (or 100% chance during sunny weather). Combining Trevenant's Harvest ability with the Sitrus Berry will make this a very difficult Pokemon to take down as it will repeatedly recover health. CURSE activates the Berry. Substitute first, then seed up, activate the Sitrus Berry, Curse, then just stall.
Only Curse when you have Harvested a Berry and you have seeded.
◆ Shadow Claw is a physical STAB-boosted 70-base power Ghost-type move (high critical hit ratio).
◆ Curse is a status move (curses if ghost, else -1 spe, +1 atk, +1 def).
◆ Substitute is a status move (Trevenant takes 1/4 its max hp to put in a substitute).
◆ Leech Seed is a status move (1/8 of target's hp is restored to Trevenant every turn).

Item: Starf Berry
Ability: Harvest
Nature: Careful (+SpD, -SpA)
EVs: 244 Hp / 12 Atk / 252 SpD
Moveset:
- Phantom Force
- Protect
- Curse
- Substitute
For those intense single battles, Trevenant is a distinguished Special Wall. It's designed to take a large amount of hits from special attacks while dealing some decent damage. With the Harvest ability, if the last item Trevenant used was a berry then there is a 50% chance to restore it at the end of each turn (or 100% chance during sunny weather). Essentially the old tropius starf berry tactic, but way better.
You try to switch into something that is either sleeping, or doesn't have any dangerous attacks, and use substitute. Afterwards you use curse, and your Starf berry will activate. Then protect + phantom force to stall, and hope you get the right boosts. With a Starf Berry equipped to it, raises a random stat by 2 when at 1/4 max hp or less (not acc/eva) then the Starf Berry gets consumed.
◆ Protect is a status move (prevents moves from affecting your Trevenant this turn).
◆ Curse is a status move (curses if ghost, else -1 spe, +1 atk, +1 def).
◆ Substitute is a status move (Trevenant takes 1/4 its max hp to put in a substitute).
